Mrs. Potter's Garden

by Frerick den Haan

/

about

As a kid I watched The Tales of Beatrix Potter over and over again on VHS. Before The Tales of Peter Rabbit came on, there was a long introduction of Beatrix painting the countryside in the beautiful Cotswolds in central England. All of a sudden it starts to rain and she flees back to her cottage where she warms herself with a cup of tea and commences on a new story.

The original music behind that introduction (which can still be found on YouTube) was written by Miriam Stockley, a truly beautiful main theme. However, I needed to know what I could contribute to those images of the English countryside.

This new composition takes you deeper into the world of Beatrix Potter, my thoughts and my fascination for nature, the countryside and good ol'children stories.
